A quick update from Cocoa Beach, Florida:

-The pre-flight morning was rushed and stressful. I am not a fan of these mornings. A double bloody mary in the airport bar, served by a super sweet man, helped lower my shoulders.

-Some broad went off on me. And I noted that people need to yell at me with some conviction to receive anything beyond a giggle on my part.

-I was able to finish Why We Suck by Denis Leary on the plane from LA to Philadelphia, and start burying my skull in Baby Remember My Name edited by Michelle Tea. An otherwise uneventful flight.

-Philly sucked horribly. The airport was muggy and crowded. Not a single restaurant or bar had an available seat to relax in and drop my bags off my shoulders until an hour into my wait when I was seated in an overpriced, awful restaurant and forced to wait over twenty minutes for a geedee Blue Moon. I’m hardly this much of a snob but I WAS IN NO MOOD.

-Flight to Florida next to a man who overflowed into my seat and continually leaned on me when he’d fall asleep. I have an intimate knowledge of his breath.

-Checked into the hotel with some relatives and slept wonderfully.

Okay, it’s dress time.

What?

I can be a goddamned lady. I’ll have pictures to prove this.
